Context
Clinet’s ambition is far greater than its modest buildings and 11-hectare vineyard on the Pomerol plateau would suggest. Since its acquisition in 1999, Ronan Laborde has worked hard to reinforce the identity of Clinet’s wines, whose hedonistic qualities are now famous the world over. As a small, family-run estate, Clinet is able to focus on every tiny detail - an approach that has allowed them to make what wine critics judge to be a considerable increase in quality over the past 15 years.
