Context

Becoming more in tune with changing climatic conditions in the vines, Cellar Master Hervé Dantan decided to adopt a different strategy to creating Champagne Lanson’s signature cuvée, embracing slight variations given by each harvest instead of attempting to obtain a near-identical profile each year.

Le Black Label was hence renamed Le Black Création, where each numbered edition corresponds to the number of blends made since the maison was founded in 1760.

Project

To celebrate the release of Le Black Création, we produced a film that explores the challenges faced by both cellar master and parter wine growers, and the creative process that must constantly evolve with each vintage to give birth to Lanson’s most emblematic wine.
